The NY Department of transportation announced that shoulder closures can be expected on the Hutchinson River Parkwayat Lincoln Avenue in Pelham/Mt. Vernon all of this week.

Motorists are advised that a shoulder closure is expected to continue through Friday, September 13, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., on the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound and southbound, at Exit 12 (East Lincoln Avenue), while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Motorists should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
