Pelham Village Mayor Chance Mullen said in an email to Pelhams Plus that Village residents should know that "we are working diligently to ensure there is no disruption" in garbage collection services following the Westchester County Solid Waste Commission's suspension of the operating license of Waste Services, Inc.

"Given the legal sensitivities involved, we are unable to comment at this time," Mayor Mullen said. "More information will follow when the circumstances permit."

The Village of Pelham has a contract with Waste Services, Inc. for the collection of garbage, recycling materials and trash.
