Rev. Robert DeJulio, pastor of OLPH- St. Catharine's, sent parishioners by email the statement of Pelham Jewish Center Rabbi Salzberg on the swastikas incident at Middle School and added this note:

Dear Parishioners:

I share with you a letter written by Rabbi Salzberg of the Pelham Jewish Center concerning the incident of Antisemitism that took place at Pelham Middle School during the Jewish High Holidays. I have expressed to Rabbi Salzberg the solidarity of the Catholic community of Pelham in deploring this action and our support for his congregation during this difficult time.

May I ask those of you who are parents to take this opportunity to speak with your children about the evil of hate speech of any kind and the effects it has on the lives of people. During this Respect Life Month we all need to work more diligently in honoring all people with dignity and respect.

Father DeJulio
