Screening of “Freedom Summer” At The Picture House on June 22

As part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the deaths of civil rights workers Michael Schwerner (a graduate of PMHS), James Earl Chaney, and Andrew Goodman, The Picture House will hold a free screening of the documentary “Freedom Summer” on Sunday, June 22 at 5:00pm. The film, directed by Stanley Nelson, will be shown at The Picture House ahead of its June 24 premiere on American Experience on PBS. In Pelham, it will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with an expert panel.

Although free, tickets must be obtained at or at the box office.
