The Picture House’s student improv troupe The Pelicants will perform a special live performance at Rockwells tonight, Monday, June 3rd at 6:30 p.m.

Comprised of middle and high school students, The Pelicants are the longest-running local improv performance group in the area. On the first Saturday of each month -- October to June — this group of brave teens takes to the Main Stage at The Picture House to entertain the audience with scenes they create on the spot. To celebrate the end of the 2019-20 season, they will be sharing their talent in a culminating, family-friendly evening performance at Rockwells (105 Wolfs Lane, Pelham, NY). Tickets are $25/person and include a buffet dinner.

“We are so impressed with how hard this creative group of students has worked all year and are excited to see their final performance,” said Francile Albright Director of Education. “In addition to bringing the community together to share some laughs, improv has been shown to build public speaking skills, foster group collaboration, and work multiple intelligences at the same time – amazing benefits for students and audiences alike. We’re truly grateful for the time and effort Josh (Josh Wallach, improv instructor) has given through the years to help develop this inspired group of performers. ”

Tickets to the dinner and show are $25 each and can be purchased at www.thepicturehouse.org, at the Picture House box office (175 Wolfs Lane), or by calling (914) 738-316/1 ext. 1009.
