"Sex Trafficking Victims in Westchester and NY City" with speakers from My Sisters' Place and LifeWay Network will be the program at The Manor Club tonight, Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7:30pm. The event is open to the public

The presentation will be led by Cristina Tanzola of My Sisters' Place, based in White Plains, and Lima James of LifeWay Network in Queens.

Following the passage in 2007 of New York State's first anti-trafficking law, My Sister's Place was selected to be the human trafficking services provider for the Lower Hudson Valley, and now is the designated server for the Metro region north of New York City (Westchester and Rockland counties). LifeWay's Safe Housing Program specifically for women survivors of human trafficking began in 2009 with two short-term, 30-day emergency beds and has since expanded to longer -term safe housing.

Admission to the event is free. Optional donations to My Sisters' Place and LifeWay Network will be accepted.

My Sisters' Place will accept personal toiletries for trafficking victims and gift cards, household items and cold weather clothing.
