Joseph Solimine Sr. of Pelham was among Bronx and Westchester Kiwanis  receiving the club's Legion of Honor Award for completing 25 years or more of volunteer community service this year.

Mr. Solimine has been enrolled in the Kiwanis since 1979 and received his 40-year Legion of Honor Award. He is a member and Past President of the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club. He also served as Bronx Westchester Kiwanis Division Lt. Governor in 1996-97.
