Pelham Reads! is celebrating "Hidden Figures" and these Wednesday and Thursday events will be open to the public:

Wednesday, October 9

Mission Control & Math Bee—

Fast-paced, interactive math-based activities led by PMHS math teacher Lisa DiCeglio and PMHS student volunteers.

Where: Town of Pelham Public Library

When: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Who: For middle schoolers


Thursday, October 10

Women in Science: Challenges & Careers—

Panel discussion and Q&A with some of Pelham’s own science superstars.

Where: Town of Pelham Public Library

When: 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Who: For teens and adults


Saturday, October 12

Coding Class—

Learn coding and the basics of computer science using Scratch, Python, and other programming software. The first in a series.

Where: Town of Pelham Public Library

When: 2:00 p.m. –4:00 p.m.

Who: For grades 1–5. Bring a laptop and drop in.


Friday, October 18

2nd-Friday Book Club—

Join the Library’s daytime adult book club for a discussion of Hidden Figures, facilitated by Carol Ipsen.

Where: Town of Pelham Public Library

When: 10:30 a.m.

Who: For adults
