Community Church of the Pelhams will celebrates Pentecost with an Intergenerational Service this Sunday,June 9 ar 10:00am.

The community is invited to a “Birthday Party” themed intergenerational worshi with presentations that celebrate the birthday of the Christian Church and are designed to keep a child’s attention. Rev. Dr. Lillian Reynolds presents a Story for Children of about five minutes duration, and Rev. Noel Vanek will present a parallel Story for Adults, again about five minutes in length.

High School graduates and recipients of scholarships from the church’s Ernest Wood Memorial Scholarship Fund will be recognized. At service end the children will open a piñata to start the after-church festivity.

Worship is from 10am to about 11:00 am, with the after worship party lasting another 20 minutes.

The Community Church of the Pelhams is located at 448 Washington Avenue at the corner of Highland and Washington Avenues. The church strives to live out the United Church of Christ motto: “No matter where who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.”
