Town Supervisor Peter DiPaola issued this statement thanking the Rotary Club of the Pelhams for honoring him at Rotary's Tastings XV event on Oct. 20:

This year I have had the pleasure of being honored by one of Pelham’s wonderful charitable organizations. On October 20 The Rotary Club of the Pelhams was kind enough to honor me at its annual Tastings event.

Blue Dog Wines & Spirits supplied the wine for Tastings and a number of the finer eateries in lower Westchester came to do a tastings at the beautiful Pelham Country Club. Along with the food those who came to the Tastings were entertained by wonderful Jazz musicians who were students at Pelham Memorial High School. I was not only honored by the Rotary but also Assemblywoman Amy Paulin was there to present me with a proclamation. I also received proclamations from Westcheser County Executive Georgia Latimer, State Senator Alessandra Biaggi and County Legislator Terry Clements.

I not only had the pleasure of my family being with me, but one of my favorite local women’s singing group, the Pelham Larks, surprised me with a special song serenading me in gratitude for the help I’ve given them over the past years. It was a really fun moment and I thank them so much.
