Newly retired Village of Pelham Police Sgt. James Mitrione was honored at a dinner at Casa Amore Friday (May 17) by current and former officers. In attendance were Police chief Jason Pallett as well as former Police Chief Joe Benefico and several retired police officers and police detectives of the department.

While with the Pelham Village police Department, Sgt. Mitrione spearheaded work on the SWAT team and organizing the active shooter training in the schools for Pelham and Pelham Manor officers, among other things.
