Three new Pelham Manor police officers— Edward Witkowski, Nicholas Manias and Edward Fattorini— were sworn in by Mayor Jennifer Monachino Lapey at the Village Board of Trustees meeting Monday night, Jan. 28.

Mr. Witkowski, 29, has been a police officer since 2015 with SUNY-Farmingdale, where he has received several commendations and has become certified as an emergency medical technician. He currently lives on Long Island and holds a BA in International Transportation and Trade from SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx. After graduation, he became the Chief Mate of an 80-ft. marine science research vessel that traveled the Eastern Seaboard.

Mr. Manias, 24, is a life long resident of Tuckahoe. He holds an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Westchester Community College. He has worked as a Parking Enforcement Officer in the Village of Tuckahoe and the Town of Eastchester. He is currently attending the Westchester County Police Academy and is due to graduate at the end of May.

Mr. Fattorini, 25, is a life long resident of Dobbs Ferry. He holds a B.A. in Public Health Sciences from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a Master's Degree in Emergency Management from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Most recently, he was employed as a public safety officer at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville and is a certified emergency medical technician. He is currently attending the Westchester County Police Academy and is due to graduate at the end of May.
