Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cheryl Champ said a social media threat was investigated by police but opening of schools opened today (Nov.1) at the scheduled time to account for a  a two-hour development presentation fort teachers and staff. (The investigation did not delay the opening.)

Dr. Champ said in an email to parents:

This morning, we were made aware of a threat made last night toward high school students on social media. While this threat did not target the high school directly, we immediately contacted local police to investigate.

Police have advised that the situation is under control and that our buildings are safe to open. As such, Pelham Memorial High School and Pelham Middle School will open at 10:15am and all elementary schools wills will open at 10:20am as previously scheduled.
