The four candidates seeking the three open seats on the Board of Education in the May 21 election—John Brice, Vincent Mazzaro, Steven Shekane and Leah Tahbaz— have been invited to a Q& A Forum on Monday, May 6 sponsored by the PTA Council.

The event will start promptly at 7:00pm in PMHS Alumni Hall. John Hessel from the League of Women Voters of Westchester will serve as the moderator.

Due to time constraints, questions from the audience will be written on cards distributed and collected by PTA Council usher(s). PTA leaders will screen and group together questions of a similar nature and forwarded to the moderator.

Questions must include the name of the questioner and address. Questions will not be of personal nature. While they may be directed to one candidate, all candidates may choose to respond. No debating will be allowed by candidates or audience members. A timekeeper will alert candidates when they exceed guidelines for responses for time allowed to questions.

Statements by candidates who cannot attend the forum will not be read. No campaign material will be distributed or left at the forum. The evening will end by 9:00pm.

The event will be filmed for posting at a later date on the school district website (www.pelhamschools.org).
