Provisions Cupcake

Provisions Bakery graciously hosted 15 young students from the Teacher Institute of Lower Westchester’s Summer Experience camp program at Pelham Middle School for a fun and informative visit on July 17.

The elementary and middle school students were part of the Summer Experience’s “Just Desserts” class and were treated to a behind-the-scenes visit to Provisions. Owner Victoria Coverdale, Lead Baker Regina Espino and Sales Manager Susan Cartelli dedicated themselves to showing the campers a wonderful time with a tour of the facilities, a baking demonstration and as a finale - all of the students decorated their own Provisions’ funfetti cupcake! Everyone had a wonderful time and many thanks go out to Victoria, Regina and Susan for their hospitality.

The Teacher Institute of Lower Westchester (formerly BEPT) runs the Summer Experience camp for four weeks each year from late June through July. Various educators from Eastchester, Pelham, Tuckahoe and other communities give programs for students in grades K-8 on topics such as creative writing, computer skills, arts and crafts, discovering dinosaurs, photography, architecture, hands-on science, military history, engineering, Legos, dance, theatre, music, gaming and cooking. Morning and afternoon sessions are available, with an option of staying for both. For more information on the Summer Experience, see:
