The Pelham Board of Education is expected to award tenure to three teachers and two teaching assistants at its meeting tonight, at 8:15 pm on Tuesday, May 28  in the Pelham Middle School Library following a reception for the tenure candidates.

At 6:45 pm, the Board is expected to meet in executive session in the Superintendent’s Conference Room in Central Office, 18 Franklin Place.

At the regular meeting, the Board is expected to award tenure to the following teachers: Alicia Gallagher, Kevin Miller, Rebecca Reina and teaching assistants:Trisha Lahn, and Marc Ritacco.

The community is invited to attend the reception in their honor starting at 7:30 pm in the PMHS Library. Light refreshments will be served.

Also at the regular meeting, the agenda includes Dr. Cheryl Champ's Superintendent's report and may include updates from each School Board committee, as well as reports on 21st Century Learning and Professional Development, Networks of Support and Social-Emotional Development, and Finances and Facilities.

The Board may also review and/or approve the following policies: Non-Resident Students - 7132 (2nd reading); Communicable diseases - 5691 (1st reading); Immunization of Student - 7511 (1st reading); Student Physicals - 7512 (1st reading); Accidents and medical emergencies - 7520 (1st reading); Student Health records - 7514 (1st reading); Sports and the athletic program - 7420 (1st reading). These policies are available for review on BoardDocs on th website as part of the meeting agenda which will be available for viewing 24 hours before the meeting.
