Janice Frankel, a former elementary schol teacher in Pelham, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019. She was 92 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a former resident of New Rochelle, NY, and resided in West Windsor. NJ the past 20 years.
Mrs. Frankel was a graduate of Queens College and had a graduate degree from Lehman College. She was an elementary school teacher in Pelham, NY, for 30 years before retiring.
Wife of the late Dr. Howard Frankel, she is survived by her adored daughter, Heidi Shore, and Heidi's much-loved husband, son-in-law, Cliff Torban; sister and brother-in-law, Lenore and Irwin Gerson; four grandchildren, Jason, Melissa, Alexandra and Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Julia, Desmond, Benjamin and Shelby, and a son, Jeffrey Frankel.
Funeral services are Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m., at Congregation Beth Chaim, 329 Village Rd., Princeton Junction. Burial will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, NJ. A period of mourning will be observed Dec. 3 and 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Congregation Beth Chaim. Funeral arrangements are by Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ.
