Dear Pelham Friends and Neighbors:

As a former longtime Pelham School Board member, I would like to add my voice to those who are enthusiastically supporting Madeline Smith for re-election to the Pelham School Board.

In the short three years Madeline has served on the Pelham School Board, Madeline has played an important role in everything the School Board does. Let me focus on one aspect.

Madeline has made public engagement and transparency a key focus. Madeline hit the ground running as the founding chair of the Board’s Engagement and Outreach Committee. She instituted the popular monthly Board coffees with the public. She also serves as co-chair of the Pelham Advocacy Committee and has spearheaded five letter-writing campaigns to seek much needed changes from our lawmakers in Albany. These letter writing campaigns have produced solid results that benefit not only Pelham but also all school districts across the State.

Madeline has all the attributes we should be looking for in an effective and responsive Pelham School Board member. I heartily endorse Madeline Smith for re-election!

Sincerely,

Will Cavanagh
