Seniors Violet Massie-Vereker, Kieran Gilchrist and Nora Tahbaz, juniors Jack Golden, Aiden Bennett, and Charlotte Howard, and sophomores Haley Wall, Brett Bober, Luca Rivera, Caroline Veteri and Catie Woods were named PMHS Athletes of the Week.

The girls’ track team has had an outstanding season in which the 4X400 relay team of Wall, Bober, Rivera and Massie-Vereker won at the Rasbeck Relays, earning the special “Peter Oley” award. Massie-Vereker and Rivera also teamed with Tahbaz and Howard to win League Championship in the 4X100 relay, beating Harrison by less than 1 second.

Gilchrist and Bennett have been strong on the links, qualifying for the Section 1 Boys’ Golf Championships. On the girls’ golf team, Veteri and Woods have had great seasons, pacing the team to a 6-2 record.

Golden a.k.a. “Steph Curry” was a huge contributor in the Unified Basketball team’s first ever win, hitting several clutch 3-pointers in the victory. One of those baskets helped solidify the game late in the fourth quarter when John Jay started to make a comeback. Golden's ability to shoot the ball long-range makes him very difficult to guard.
