In 2020, the Village of Pelham Manor Board of Trustees may get a final proposal for an E-Commerce building to be located half in the Bronx and half in Pelham Manor in the shopping center anchored by Fairway Market.
The developer has submitted paperwork suggesting a Pelham Manor Zoning change that would be required for the building's approval. No zoning change is required for the half of the building in NY City. The proposal to Pelham Manor is being reviewed.
The developer has also suggested a plan to control truck traffic to and from the building so that it avoids Boston Post Road, but specifics have not been worked out.
Also in 2020, Pelham Manor expects to hear the results of a meeting that a NY State Department of Transportation regional official plans to have with State Senator Alessandra Biaggi and Asemblymember Amy Paulin to discuss Pelham Manor's proposed alternatives to a plan to erect a 120 ft. monopole/cellular tower at Exit 7 of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Pelham Manor.
Village officials have suggested at least two alternative sites—one at the next exit south on the Hutchinson River Parkway or on Village owned property on Canal Road near BJ's Wholesale Club. Mr Pierpon said Monday night that it has been determined that any monopole at the Canal Road site would have to be taller than 120 ft.
Also in 2020, Village officials expect a report on a traffic study related to its request for pedestrian signals at Boston Post Road and Esplanade.
The Village Election for two trustee seats will be on Wednesday, March 18 (not St. Patrick's Day, March 17, a Tuesday).
The Village of Pelham Mnor website is at www.pelhammanor.org, which has a button to access videos of Village Board meetings (usually on the second and fourth Mondays of the month) and a button for direct access to the Village's Facebook page.
