The Pelham Weekly is excited to launch our new web site—accessible on computers, mobile and tablets via or The name has changed to show that not only do we post all the news of The Pelham Weekly on Wednesdays but you will find a whole lot more every day. We are expanding our mission statement to read “News of Pelham Village and Pelham Manor, New York PLUS Where We Go, Where We Eat and Where We Shop.”

“The Pelhams - Plus is a fresh, new way to keep abreast of the news that is vital to the community and on a timely basis,” said Publisher Maggie Klein. “Breaking news will be posted on the site when it happens, and as now, will be distributed on facebook and twitter. We will also add ‘Have You Heard’ items—as we get them. This will encourage you to visit the site more often and also glance at the many new advertisers whose ads are a click away from their own web sites.”

New features on will include blogs from well known Pelhamites like Doug Hearle, Rabbi David Schuck and Pelham Historian Blake Bell, and the expanded use of video. We are also introducing “do it yourself features”: Visitors to the site can add events to the community calendar and news items like obituaries, birth announcements and weddings.

“As we launch our new web site, we ask for your patience because some of the sections may not be quite ready and everyone must re-register their accounts to have access,” said Maggie.

The changeover in web site hosts means that accounts registered on the former are no longer operational. All subscribers to The Pelham Weekly are still entitled to free online access, but must register by  following the directions on page 2.

Notes: does include an easy to use mobile site, as well as an “e-edition” which allows users to view The Pelham Weekly in PDF form. All stories in the Archive section on the old site from 2006 will be available by using our “Advanced Search” box on the new site.

Please feel free to call 738-8717 or send an e-mail to with any questions about the new web  site.
