Baseball pitcher Joshua Ronald Hader (born April 7, 1994) represents the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He used to suit up for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball. Hader has been honored with four selections to the All-Star team and three trophies as the National League’s best reliever.
He was picked by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2012 MLB draft’s 19th round. His 2015 season with the Milwaukee Brewers came after he had been moved twice.
Hader was a member of the 2015 U.S. national baseball team that competed in the Pan American Games, and he was a participant in the 2016 All-Star Futures Game.
Hader, who had been traded to the Brewers in 2015, debuted in Major League Baseball in 2017. By 2021, he had thrown the fastest 400-strikeout season in the history of the Major Leagues. To the Padres, the Brewers sent Hader in 2022.
Controversy
The Milwaukee Brewers closer was thrust into the center of a Twitter tempest after a rough performance in his first All-Star game. In the late hours of Tuesday’s All-Star Game, it was revealed that as a teenager, Hader had sent some racist and anti-gay tweets.
Hader stated regret for his behavior after the game. He said, “You know, it was something that happened when I was 17.” “I was a child once, and I know now that I said some terrible things. I am not defined by my past, and that is exactly what it is.”
The reliever said he didn’t know about the incident until after he gave up three runs on four hits in the eighth inning, including a three-run homer to Mariners shortstop Jean Segura.
“I walked in here and my phone was going crazy,” he said. “You can’t make up an excuse for what was said; there is none. I apologize profusely for everything that has happened and done; as I’ve already stated, none of it reflects my current ideas.”
He had not yet talked to his teammates in Milwaukee about it, but he said he intended to. “Indeed, that’s the case. They shouldn’t be partaking in it, period “What he had to say was. To paraphrase, “When you’re 17, you make some really dumb choices and blunders.”

Some of Hader’s friends and family members who were in the stands at the time his tweets went viral were given blank gear to wear. At the end of the game, they were seen standing outside the locker room in blank National League gear.

Hader’s brilliant relief pitching and the additions of Cain and fellow free agent Christian Yelich propelled Milwaukee to first place for most of the first half, but a six-game losing streak before the All-Star break allowed Chicago to overtake them.
In 2012, the Baltimore Orioles selected left-handed pitcher Josh Hader in the nineteenth round. In July 2013, the Orioles traded Hader to the Houston Astros.
A year and a half later, just before the 2015 trade deadline, he was shipped off to the Brewers. Hader is 2-0 with seven saves and a 1.50 ERA in 31 games this season for Milwaukee. The 89 strikeouts in just 48 innings pitched are the most by any reliever in the league.

L.A. Padres vs. (2022–present)
Hader was sent to the San Diego Padres by the Milwaukee Brewers on August 1, 2022, in exchange for Taylor Rogers, Dinelson Lamet, Esteury Ruiz, and Robert Gasser.
The Padres won his first game as a member of the team, which came the next day when he made his debut. Hader’s subsequent poor performances led to the Padres removing him from the closer role on August 20.
