President Trump’s re-election campaign was reportedly discussed by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison in a phone call just days after the election, according to a story in Politico.

The presence of Mr. Ellison was originally reported by the Washington Post on Friday. Apparently, the call took place on November 14, 2020, less than a week after Mr Trump’s shocking defeat in Republican strongholds like Arizona and Georgia, as reported by the Post.

Who are in the election conversation?

According to the Washington Post, Jay Sekulow, an attorney for the White House, Sean Hannity of Fox News, and Sen. Lindsey Graham were also in the conversation. To what extent was this group unified in their beliefs, given that Mr Graham did not support efforts to object to the election’s certification and Mr. Sekulow, just ten days later, would be reported by ABC News to have not been involved in the effort to overturn the election in the courts because of concerns about its lack of legal merit?

During December and the beginning of January, Mr. Hannity, who hosts the most-watched cable news show in the country, continued to promote conspiracy theories about election fraud.

With regard to Mr. Ellison’s participation in the conversation, The Independent has contacted Oracle. There was no statement from the company’s representatives prior to publication in the Post.

Is Ellison was a participant in conftrence call?

The information that Ellison was a participant in the mid-November conference call appears to have come from a court filing submitted as part of continuing action against True the Vote, a Houston-based conservative voter ID group that has circulated falsehoods about the 2020 election. Voter fraud was suspected by the group, but no inquiry was launched as a result of the information it gave.

According to the Post, the group’s founder wrote to a donor after the conversation concluded that the participants “requested for a preliminary report asap, to be utilized internally.”

Ellison has never publicly remarked on the legality of the 2020 election, although he is known to be an admirer of Donald Trump and to have already collected money for the one-term Republican president.

Rubio supported him in his failed 2016 presidential campaign, and he also voted against any attempts to stop the 2020 election from taking place on January 6, 2019.
