Early years
Maya Hawke was born on July 8, 1998, in New York City, the eldest child of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, and the second of two children.
On the set of Gattaca (1997), her parents met and got married in May 1998; they separated in 2005.
This Hawke guy has a bro. Additionally, she has a biological sister with Ryan Shawhughes, the father of her two half-brothers. Arpad Busson, her mother’s ex-fiancé, is the father of another half-sister she has from her mother.
The playwright Tennessee Williams is a distant cousin of Hawke’s father’s on both sides of the family. She is the great-granddaughter of Buddhist scholar Robert Thurman and model Baroness Nena von Schlebrügge on her mother’s side. For Axel Ebbe’s Famntaget, Birgit Holmquist posed as a model. There are no grades at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn, New York because Hawke has dyslexia, and she has had to switch schools several times during her elementary schooling before finally enrolling there. In addition, Hawke spent the summers at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. Acting at the Juilliard School was her only option for a year before she accepted a role in Little Women and dropped out of the programme.

Maya Hawke and Tom Sturridge: a relationship in the cards
As social restrictions continue to ease, we’ve witnessed a lot of new romances appear to have started behind the scenes in quarantine, despite the recent round of heartbreaking breakups in Hollywood.
Following several outings in London, Lily James and Chris Evans were recently linked; Adele and Skepta were rumoured to be dating after fans noticed some series of social media bound flirting, and now it appears that Stranger Things actress and musician Maya Hawke and fellow actor Tom Sturridge are an item after being spotted on what looked like a beach date.
It was reported by People that Hawke and Tom Sturridge were both photographed on July 21 in the Hamptons, with the former walking behind her with a cooler in hand—two failsafe indicators of a romantic day at the beach, if we do say so ourselves.
Hawke has been quarantined in upstate New York since filming on her retro sci-fi series, Stranger Things, was halted in March, according to sources. Hawke is the daughter of Hollywood heavyweights, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
When asked about the fourth season of Stranger Things, Hawke mentioned that she started filming it weeks before the TV and film industry went into shutdown and that it was still her best filming experience on the show’s set of all time.

That is what I can tell you about this year,” she said to Wonderland Magazine. “Even just the two weeks of filming season four were my most favourite two weeks of filming on the show altogether, which is saying something considering I had an extraordinary time last year. They’re writing a character that’s exhilarating to act and portray as [Robin’s] role grows freer, more open, more involved. “I’m ecstatic,” I say.

But, alas, this is a digression. We’re keeping an eye on Hawke and Sturridge’s relationship because their Hamptons visit is the first time they’ve been publicly recognised together. Until they’re caught together again, we won’t know for sure if the two stars are dating or just friends.
Since 2011, Sturridge has been engaged to actress and model Siena Miller; the couple had an eight-year-old daughter named Marlowe in 2012. It’s not clear if the relationship between Sturridge and Miller has deteriorated since they split up in the spring, but People reports that they were photographed out together in New York City in late June.
While Hawke has kept quiet about her personal life, romance rumours were started in early 2019 after the actor-cum-musician uploaded a series of Instagram photos showing her kissing and embracing Rolling Stone founder Gus Wenner.
Keeping our fingers crossed for Hawke and Sturridge, as we do for many other high-profile couples, is par for the course.
