Before and After
Priyanka Chopra is an Indian actress who is best known for her role in the film Jonas has spoken up about his disastrous surgery.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is opening out about a failed surgery that left her “devastated and hopeless” in the early 2000s.
Chopra Jonas, 38, developed a “lingering head cold” in the summer of 2001, which she mistook for a “very nasty sinus illness” when she was crowned Miss World 2000.
“I couldn’t seem to get enough air. “This is a condition that an asthmatic cannot ignore,” the actress wrote in her new memoir, Unfinished, which is now online. A family friend referred her to a doctor, who detected a “polyp in my nasal cavity that would require surgical removal.”
Chopra Jonas Was Relieved that A Polypectomy Had Been Performed at The Moment.
Chopra Jonas was grateful at the time that a polypectomy “seemed like a relatively regular treatment,” but it didn’t go as planned for her. “The doctor mistakenly shaved the bridge of my nose while removing the polyp, causing the bridge to collapse.” Mom and I were both shocked when the bandages were removed and the state of my nose revealed. My old nose was no longer with me. My appearance had changed drastically. She explained, “I wasn’t myself anymore.”
She Expressed Herself Through Her Writing “I Used to Glance in The Mirror Every Time I Got Dressed.”
The actress said the operation left her “devastated and hopeless.” “I didn’t think my sense of self or self-esteem would ever recover from the hit, because every time I glanced in the mirror, a stranger stared back at me.”
Because of her sudden celebrity, dealing with the fallout from the failed surgery was made even more difficult. Following her operation, she recalls the media calling her “Plastic Chopra.” “Let’s just say it now. The term began to appear in publications and newspaper stories almost immediately, and it has followed me throughout my professional career,” Chopra Jonas explained.
“Dared to Propose an Explanation for The Visibly Different Nose,” She Said.
Chopra Jonas opted to “draw a line” and simply keep it quiet, despite feeling “dared to give an explanation for the visibly altered nose” throughout the years. “I work as a showman. That’s what I agreed to do, and it’s something I enjoy.
I’ll deliver my lines, perform my dance, and hit my target. I’ll try my hardest to make you laugh or cry, but just because I’m a public figure doesn’t mean everything about my life needs to be made public. She wrote, “I get to decide what I share and when I share it.”
She Had to Have a Number of Remedial Procedures in The End.
She eventually had many corrective procedures to repair the damage caused by the polypectomy, and she now considers her nose to be “normalized.”
“I’ve grown accustomed to looking in the mirror and seeing a stranger staring back at me after a few years of seeing a stranger staring back at me. I’m no longer astonished when I see myself in the mirror; I’ve accepted this little changed version of myself,” Chopra Jonas stated. “This is what I look like.” My body is this. I’m not perfect, but I’m who I am.”
