When it comes to food and travel, American celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was one of the most sought-after presenters. He was also an author and a travel documentarian. At the height of his career, Bourdain worked as the executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles in Manhattan for several years after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America. “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly” is his best-known work (2000).
A Cook’s Tour, Bourdain’s debut culinary and world-travel television show, aired on the Food Network for 35 episodes in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (2005–2012) and The Layover (2011–2013) were hosted by him on the Travel Channel in 2005. As a judge on The Taste in 2013, Anthony Bourdain made the jump to CNN to present Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. He is well recognized for his writings and television shows on food and cooking.
Anthony Bourdain Girlfriend
He spoke to several people in Anthony Bourdain’s inner circle while filming Roadrunner, his documentary about the late TV celebrity. In particular, Morgan Neville spoke about Bourdain’s friendship with Asia Argento.
When Bourdain visited Rome in 2016 to record a season-eight episode, he was introduced to Argento by a Parts Unknown director, Michael Steed. When Bourdain met Argento, who was nearly 20 years younger than him, he seemed to immediately fall in love with her.
She is the best!'” Tony exclaimed upon meeting Asia. ‘Oh my god, she’s amazing.’ “It’s like the first time you date someone in high school,” Steed explains in the film. The chef-turned-TV personality’s adoration for Argento quickly grew, as he gushed about her in interviews and on Instagram, publicly championed her as a #MeToo leader, privately paid off Argento’s own accuser, and even pushed for Argento to direct an episode of Parts Unknown when another director fell ill. Another Parts Unknown coworker believes that Bourdain, a recovering heroin addict, “turned[ed] a lifelong addictive mentality to another person, and that was incredibly dangerous.”
The Filmmakers Who Didn’t Interview Argento
This is an enormously intricate subject,” said Neville, who didn’t get to speak with Argento for his documentary. The more you look into the issue by reading all of the news items, the more questions you’ll have to ask yourself.” Obviously, I only featured a sliver of what was on offer. As for how much there is, I can tell you that it’s a lot less than you think. After seeing all of the evidence, I believe I acted fairly as well. As far as I’m concerned, it was a success.”
Look back at the tragic love story between Argento and Bourdain to better comprehend the tangled web that Roadrunner weaves ahead.
Bourdain Stated that He Was Willing to Live with Her Even Though He Did Not Want to Be Married Again.
When asked how much time he spent with her, Bourdain replied, “As much as possible.” There are a lot of similarities between her and me in terms of personality. We’ve both been married before… As a result, such an event is highly unlikely. That’s the end of it all. I believe we both value each other’s contributions. “Oh, but you promised we would go to the beach,” no one will ever say. I mean, you get a job, and that’s all you need. That’s all there is to it. Everything else is insignificant. First and foremost, get to work.”
In the Immediate Aftermath of Bourdain’s Death, a Close Friend Told the Magazine.
“Like a teenage guy, [he] was simply utterly lovestruck,” a buddy told the magazine shortly after Bourdain’s death. He would have done anything for her, which raised the suspicions of a few of his associates.
Bourdain’s feelings were also expressed by Asia Argento., albeit not as frequently. “My Bloody Valentine” was the caption accompanying an Instagram photo of Bourdain holding what appeared to be a phony heart in February 2020.
