The murder mystery comedy Only Murders in the Building was an immediate hit. The series follows Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin as their characters try to solve a mysterious death in their Upper West Side apartment building. It was the most-watched Hulu Original comedy on its first day.
After finishing season one, viewers might wonder if they’ll be able to go back to the Arconia. Here is everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building season two.
All of the famous actors in Only Murders in the Building Season 2
Amy Schumer makes a hilarious cameo in Season 2 of OMITB as herself, just like Sting did in Season 1.
She wants to work with Oliver to turn their podcast series, OMITB, into a TV series. Schumer plans to play the role of Tim Kono’s killer and Charles’s love interest Jan, which Amy Ryan played in Season 1 of the show.
Amy Schumer is a stand-up comedian and actress who is best known for starring in the movie Trainwreck, which she wrote and which was directed by Judd Apatow. Schumer is also known for her roles on 30 Rock, SNL, The Humans, and Life & Beth, as well as for her hugely popular comedy specials like Amy Schumer: The Leather Special, Amy Schumer: Growing, and Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo.
Alice Banks — Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne, a British model, has returned to acting after a short break to play Alice Banks in OMITB Season 2. Her character, Alice, is an art gallery owner who likes Mabel’s (played by Selena Gomez) work. By Episode 2, the two have formed a romantic relationship, but we don’t know how it will turn out just yet.
Delevingne is best known for her very successful career as a model, but she has also been in the movies Anna Karenina, Paper Towns, Suicide Squad, and the TV show Carnival Row.
Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage
One person who lives in Arconia and is part of the “Only Murders in the Building” detective trio is Charles-Haden Savage, a former TV actor played by Steve Martin. During Season 1 of the Hulu show “Only Murders in the Building,” Charles tries to figure out who killed his neighbor Tim Kono in Arconia with the help of Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez). While the three of them work together to report on their progress and make their podcast, “Only Murders in the Building,” Charles starts a relationship with his neighbor, Jan, who plays the bassoon. As Charles and Jan’s relationship grows, Charles invites Jan into the inner workings of the three people’s makeshift investigation, against Oliver and Mabel’s wishes. In the end, Charles should have listened to his detective partners and kept Jan at a very far distance.
Steve Martin is a known comedian and actor. Before “Only Murders in the Building,” the comedian has been in and written for popular shows and movies like “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,” “Three Amigos,” “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,” “Parenthood,” and “Father of the Bride” (1991). He’s won five Grammys, an Emmy, and an honorary Oscar.
Actress Shirley MacLaine (Season 2)
Shirley MacLaine, a famous actress from Hollywood, will be joining Season 2 as a key part of the news story. The Academy Award and Emmy winner has kept going with her career well into her 80s. In her 70 years in Hollywood, MacLaine has been in many great movies, like Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Trouble with Harry” (1955), “The Apartment” (1960), “Terms of Endearment” (1983), “Steel Magnolias” (1989), and “Postcards from the Edge” (1990).
Michael Rapaport was Detective Kreps (Season 2)
While Oliver, Mabel, and Charles have made a friend in Detective Williams, their luck with the police is quickly getting worse. After they are caught, a new detective comes in to take over the investigation of Bunny’s murder. Detective Kreps is played by Michael Rapaport in Only Murders in The Building
Michael Rapaport is a seasoned TV actor who has been in many shows over the past 20 years, such as “Friends” (1999), “My Name Is Earl” (2007–2008), “Justified” (2014), “Prison Break” (2008–2009), “Atypical” (2017–2021), and “Life & Beth,” in which he starred with Amy Schumer, who is now on “Only Murders.”
