Fans of Hulu’s The Girl from Plainville are eagerly awaiting the release of the penultimate episode of the fictionalized Michelle Carter case and want to know more about the character Susie Pierce and the real-life friend of Carter on whom she is based.
We provide an episode guide for the Hulu show as well as background information on the character of Alice Felzmann and her role in Michelle Carter’s case.
The Girl from Plainville is a Hulu original series starring Elle Fanning as Conrad Roy’s lover Michelle Carter, who commits involuntary homicide. The show was created by Liz Hannah and Patrick Macmanus.
Who Is Alice Felzmann in Massachusetts?
Real-life Bellingham, Massachusetts native Alice Felzmann became fast friends with fictional character Michelle Carter that summer of 2012.
Despite Felzmann’s mother disliking Carter, the two became very close friends when traveling with a softball team, as reported by Esquire via Bustle.
Felzmann’s mother got worried about the closeness of their friendship and how Carter had “latched on” to her daughter, so she eventually requested her to stop talking to Carter, and Felzmann complied.
According to Esquire, journalist Jesse Barron said that Carter sent love letters to Felzmann, suggesting the possibility of a blossoming romance between the two.
Who Inspire Susie Pierce, and Alice Felzmann?
Since there is no such thing as Susie Pierce, the character in The Girl from Plainville must have been modeled off Alice Felzmann.
Pearl Amanda Dickson’s Susie and Elle Fanning’s Michelle Carter become fast friends on the program, much like Carter and Felzmann did in real life.
Alice was urged by Felzmann’s mother to cut relations with Carter, and now Susie’s mother is doing the same thing after suspicions of a growing romance between her daughter and her best friend appeared.
