Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program Will Provide Relief to More Eligible Recipients in Pennsylvania

Governor Josh Shapiro plans to expand the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program to more than 170,000 eligible Pennsylvanians and increase the maximum rebate for older recipients to $1,000.

With the expanded Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, eligible seniors, homeowners, and individuals who are renting will be prioritized to provide them property tax relief while facing inflation and increasing expenses.

According to reports in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program will aim to expand the maximum rebates so that eligible recipients in Pennsylvania will have more amount of money saved in their pockets than spent.

More Details about the Expansion of the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program

The budget for the expansion of the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program will be allocated to aiding more than 170,000 eligible Pennsylvanians and doubling the rebates for several recipients already part of the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program.

Aside from expanding the eligibility and raising the maximum rebates for seniors, the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program will also increase the cap for eligible homeowners and renters up to $45,000 annually based on the increasing cost of living in the state.
