Heuermann, the alleged serial killer, was arraigned in court last Friday and pleaded not guilty in the case against him. The juror ordered the serial killer suspect held without bail

The 59-year-old alleged serial killer is being charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in the killing of three women victims in 2009 and 2010, namely Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Costello, and Megan Waterman.

The alleged serial killer was the prime suspect for the fourth victim, Maureen Brainard-Barnes. The four victims of the alleged serial killer were among the ten victims in the Gilgo Beach Serial Killing, a case that investigators worked on for years.

The alleged serial killer worked as an architectural consultant, was taken into police custody last Thursday night. The arrest of the suspected serial killer was made by many police presence at his home in the village of Massapequa last early Friday night.

The killings of the serial killer were subject to the 2020 Netflix Film titled Lost Girls

The arrest of the alleged serial killer comes more than ten years after discovering the remains of more victims along Gilgo Beach.

Police investigators began a comprehensive investigation of pieces of evidence in the case in 2022. The police said they take a closer verification at a Chevrolet Avalanche registered to Heuermann at the time of the killings. The investigation discovered burner cellphones allegedly linked to the serial killer suspect.

The hair found on burlap that wrapped one of the victims was determined to be a DNA match to alleged serial killer Heuermann, based on a DNA sample collected from crusts in a pizza box he had thrown.
