American actor, comedian, and ex-Marine Robert Allen Riggle Jr. was born on April 21, 1970.
Early Life
Riggle was born to Sandra (a nurse) and Robert Allen (an insurance agent) Riggle in Louisville, Kentucky. When he was just two years old, his family uprooted to the suburb of Overland Park, Kansas. He was active in Shawnee Mission South High School’s radio and television programmes.
He graduated from high school in 1988 after being named the school’s “most hilarious” student. He continued his education at the University of Kansas, where he joined the fraternity Phi Gamma Delta, earned his pilot’s licence, and eventually earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Film in 1992. A year later, in 1997, he graduated with a Master of Public Administration from Webster University.

Career
From 2006 to 2008, he was a correspondent on The Daily Show on Comedy Central. From 2004 to 2005, he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live. From 2013 until 2019, he played Gil Thorpe, a recurring character on the 20th Television sitcom Modern Family. He is also known for his comedic roles in films like Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), The Hangover (2009), Furry Vengeance (2010), and Larry Crowne (2011), Dumb and Dumber (2018).
On Adult Swim, he co-starred in the comedy-action show NTSF:SD:SUV::. He took over for Frank Caliendo in the 2012 comedy skit and prediction segments of Fox NFL Sunday. Riggle presently co-hosts Holey Moley, an ABC game programme about miniature golf, alongside Joe Tessitore.
