Federal Judge Blocks Biden Administration’s Plan to Release Illegal Immigrants
According to Fox News, a federal judge has stopped the Biden administrations plan to release illegal immigrants into the United States without a court date. The plan was supposed to ease overcrowding at Border Patrol facilities. Judge T. Kent Wetherell put a temporary stop to the policy saying it was too similar to a previous one he had already blocked. The judge said the new policy was not allowed because it was almost the same as the old one. He worried that releasing too many immigrants would harm Florida and undermine the law. The Biden administration argued that the policy was necessary to handle overcrowding but the judge disagreed.
